Defining principal place of business
QUESTION: Rltr John, RA 9646 SEC. 33. Display of License in the Place of Business says "Every registered and licensed real estate service practitioner shall establish and maintain a principal place of business and such other branch offices as may be necessary, and shall conspicuously display therein the original and/or certified true copies of his/her certificate of registration as well as the certificates of registration of all the real estate service practitioners employed in such office." How do you distinguish a Principal Place of Business from a Branch?
ANSWER: That is yet to be defined in the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR). So we will know which one needs Business Registration Permit and separate Official Receipts, we have to define and distinguish a Principal Place of Business from a Branch, a Field Station, Booths, Home Office, Show Room, and Mobile Office.
